Fabulous attacking lines from the ladies secures the win!

We had a fun match against the under 13s squad. Some of the boys were a bit taken a back we think by the ladies exceptional attacking lines which ensured they broke through the gaps. The boys soon turned it up and their defence was excellent pushing the ladies back all the time, but the ladies, especially Michelle Clark kept running fabulous lines to hunt out that try line! Scores came from most of the players which showed great team work and passing moves and constant support on the wing.

The boys were a little rattled at times, as were the ladies and some strange play continued for a short period with both teams stretching the rules! This soon changed and the game settled back down and the boys made some excellent runs on the wing, especially Petherick, Schembri, Churchill, Clark and Braybrook. The boys managed to confuse the ladies defence on a few occasions and belt down the pitch, but the ladies didn't give up and always chased them down!

Afterwards both teams enjoyed drinks and nibbles, well done both teams massive thank you to the ref and to Gillett and Takayama for playing for the ladies, and even when asked if they would like to return to their own squad they refused!
