Burnham Rugby Club U8's travelled to Colchester this weekend for the first time. What an impact they made. The youngsters were a team that would have made the England Rugby team proud. It was the best rugby I have seen from any minis team in all my time at Burnham Rugby Club.
Their support play and teamwork in attack was awesome. Forward running by Henry, Aiden, Harvey and Keeuan was amazing. They would then pass to Harry at speed which left Colchester standing. Abbierose also made some great forward runs up the wing to score great tries.
Burnhams defensive line was also solid. They were all very quick to move back on side as soon was a tag was made and were ready to get the next one. Kiara, Cam and Ruark got some great tags which kept Burnham well in the game.
An amazing effort and result from a far smaller club then their opposition, that left the other parents and coaches wondering what they could do to get the same results. A truly proud moment for the parents and Coaches of Burnham U8's Rugby.
