Burnham U8's travelled to a very muddy, but welcoming Rochford on Sunday. Both sides had equal sized squads with equal abilities. The game started as expected with both teams tagging and attacking well. However Burnham managed to push on the pressure in defence and produce a couple of well deserved turnovers. Rochford managed to come back well in the second half which resulted in a narrow 11-10 win for Burnham.
The second game was very similar as the first. Burnham managed to keep up their solid defence and flamboyant attacking moves produce another win 10-9.
The final game saw Rochford also step up a gear and put pressure on the Burnham attacks. Both teams were tagging well and getting turnovers. This resulted in a 11-11 draw.
Burnhams player of the week went to Ryeka for his great running with the ball and passing which resulted in a lot of the tries for Burnham.
