The U8’s were very pleased to welcome Old Brentwood to Burnham and the two sets of players enjoyed a very competitive but fairly even contest.
Matthew Corrigan and Bobby Brown ran in with a try each, Stefan Webb ran in with two, but the try machine this week was George Corrigan scoring an impressive eleven tries.
George’s ability to score this many was due to the definite improvement of the whole team in almost every area. Charlie Hill and Elliott Cottman showed very good tagging skills, Tilly Spring and Bobby showed their passing skills had come on and Sienna Haddrell's turn of speed took Burnham to the try line on many occasions. Charlie Kober helped us maintain possession with excellent ball control with superb catching and passing. The spectators from both sides were treated to a very spirited performance from both sides. Brentwood run out 8-6 winners in the first match, but Burnham came back strong for a 9-7 victory in the second. Thank you and well done everyone.
