Burnham Battle Braintree

Today the Burnham under 9's visited Braintree to play two games.

In the first game Braintree came out strong and tackled hard closing down Burnham's defensive line. Burnham seemed in awe of Braintree. Kieran who was nominated man of the match tried to go forward every time he got the ball and if he was supported a little more Burnham could have taken advantage and scored a couple of try's.

In the 2nd game all the boys were a little more switched on, again Kieran with taking the Helm great play from Braintree who are a tough team allowed them to win the second game as well.

The man of the match was Kieran Harris for great play and not giving up and finishing with a smile on his face with a special mentions to Brandon Clark who did some marvellous runs.

Congratulations to Braintree for the win but an even bigger well done to the whole Burnham team for facing a better and bigger side and battling to the end without losing heart and finishing with smiles on their faces.

Things to take from the game Burnham
Take the defensive line forward when defending and not to wait for the opposition to run us.
Play the ball quickly because if we are static then we will be tackled.
