Beale and Churchill lead their team to a great victory!!!

Today the U12s visited Braintree for their first game of 2017.
And they were not just on fire but really Red hot out of the blocks in the first half.
Straight from kick off Burnham boys were on top and used their passing game and determination to put the first try on the score board. Braintree couldn't handle Burnham speed at the rucks and passing game and some fine runs and notched up a further two quick tries. Braintree tried to rally and went to score a try with a maul and quick pass.
Only for another two tries with some fine movement from one side of the pitch drawing Braintree in and then hitting them with overlap for one try and the other some fine individual play to go over. Burnham on top this half and went in 25-5.
Second half saw Braintree rally and battle to come out of blocks with Burnham having to defend on the back foot. This saw Braintree score two try's from their winger using width and the space. Burnham counter acted this with some players changing positioned and fought hard for the ball and fine mauling and passing lead to another score. Braintree hit back again and did not want to give up and ran through further two tries sandwiched between another Burnham score.
The last play of the game Braintree went for the line but fine tackle and sheer determination was held up by four players and no try awarded. Game finished Braintree 25-35 Burnham.
Super effort by the team today all round showed grit in the second half. Thanks to Braintree for loan of three players.
