First Home game of 2017 saw Burnham take on Stanford
> Burnham fielded a side mixed with u11s due to numbers.
> Straight from the kick off Burnham under pressure from Stanford who quickly scored their first try with some quick ball from the ruck. Pretty much of this half Stanford stayed up the field with their big forward running through a number of tackles to score over the try line only for this to be repeated again. Burnham try to rally and gel together but just could not get out of their own half.Stanford winning scrums and at breakdowns and again went over for two more tries.Half time team talk and Burnham came out fighting but just could not contain the Giant forward who kept breaking tackles to run in more try's.Burnham continued to fight and started to win rucks and mauls and getting up the field only to be held back by some fine defensive play from Stanford.
