With no actual wings, or space ships to help them, our Under 10s literally flew out of the blocks led by theirs captains Kuta, Dawson, Schiembri, Diss

Under 10s travelled to Colchester to play a triangle with Stowmarket. Excited at the prospect of playing new teams the team were ready and up for it from the minute we all arrived.

Colchester had set up a mini tournament so we split our 14 players in to two teams and got ready to take on the speedy Stowmarket team and clever Colchester!

The players were asked by coaches to play their best, and on my goodness didn't they. They upheld the core values of rugby to the letter, Teamwork - tick, Enjoyment - tick (just one quick look at their faces said it all), Respect - huge tick, Discipline - faultless from all, Sportmanship - OH YES TIMES A MILLION!

The Astronauts and Buzzards played a very confident attacking game, ensuring that balls were popped out to supporting players, keeping playing moving forwards. There was a huge connection between the players of the week for the Buzzards making sure the ball was popped out from the rucks and mauls by Hayden Churchill, with a line of three gratefully receiving each time, Beale, Diss and Jarchow. It was brilliant to watch and hard to keep control of excitement at times!

The Astronauts equally had a very positive and free flowing game, enabling them to make ground on the field all the time. The Astronauts showed some lightening pace from Dawson and Kelleher, and player of the week Salway was just a force to be reckoned with as he spent all morning committing tackle after tackle. Salway's calm and cheery nature meant he lifted his whole team and encouraged more to charge up to tackle, with captain Schiembri making a blinding try saving tackle.

The morning was absolutely brilliant due to the players going forwards and ensuring they worked at 100%.

Really proud today, not only on the pitch but also afterwards you looked fantastic and represented what Burnham Rugby Club is about, thank you for making my morning such a treat.

Teams, in no particular order: Jack Beale (player of the week), Joshua Schiembri (Captain), Harvey Barker, Bailey Hailstone, Hayden Churchill (player of the week), Drew Kuta, Louis Roberts, Ratty Diss (Captain, Player of the week), Thomas Dawson (Captain), Sam Kelleher, William Braybrook, Shaun Salway (player of the week), Henry Sheppard, Harry Jarchow (player of the week).
