CAPTAIN SIMS DRIVES HIS TEAM FORWARDS

Burnham hosted a raring to go Rochford. We always love playing Rochford as they clearly are playing rugby for the right reasons - ENJOYMENT!

Rochford were hot out the blocks but Burnham were not to be deterred, having really practised hard on their defence prior to the game they were up on Rochford like Rats up a drain pipe! Both teams were incredible with their rucks and mauls, however Rochford just pipped Burnham to the post with the incredible passing, pop pop pop, like the weasel over and over again, credit to them they were awesome. Burnham seemed to thrive on playing this team though and kept up the pressure and the talking in the team was immense, left us coaches with very little to do, with player of the week KELLEHER, talking, guiding, advising, encouraging the whole time - it was a dream to watch. Rochford kept up the great passing skills and got more scores over. Then Burnham's passers of the week, BRAYBROOK, DISS AND JARCHOW connected fantastically and managed to get a couple of tries over. Burnham truly deserved those tries, well done. Rochford were quick to pay us back and from some great solid play continued to score. However Burnham's tackler of the week CERYS COOK, they struggled at times to get through. Overall the game was played as rugby should be at this age - for fun, enjoyment, and development. Well done everyone a tremendous team effort.

Everyone enjoyed the final game where we mixed both teams up and even the parents were cheering everyone on in the end!
