Burnham hosted Billericay and Woodham on a very cold but bright Sunday morning.
Each club had two squads each - plus subs which made for a fantastic morning of rugby.
Coaches were anxious as Burnham Bells and Baubles had not had a game for six weeks, well that did not show today, they were fantastic. Crunching tackles were coming from every direction, with phase after phase of play from rolling mauls to superb running rugby. They clearly had listened over the last few weeks as everything had improved. Tackle of the day was from Cerys Cook who flew at the heels of the Woodham player! The whole team deserved player of the week but three were specifically mentioned, Louis Roberts for going from a pussy cat, to a roaring tiger. At every breakdown he was there not afraid to get involved. Joshua Schiembri for his consistent strength and determination, which meant he recycled the ball several times and finally, Cerys Cook for her outstanding tackles. One more mention went to our new player Drew Kuta who made a blinding run up the pitch. Well done everyone we are so proud of you. You worked today as a team.
