LIGHTENING RUNS BY JARCHOW AND MASSIVE TACKLES BY BARKER

Burnham under 10's hosted Maldon with both clubs putting out two teams, with the kind loan of one player from Maldon.

In the first match Burnham scored a quick try after some aggressive rucking by Cerys Cook allowed Sam Kelleher through. Burnham held a very strong defensive line, but after a succession of strong tackles by Burnham, Maldon finally broke through. Maldon then gained a foothold in the game resulting in more tries before a dazzling burst and double dummy from Lewis Gillett allowed Harry Jarchow to score. Final result 35-10 to Maldon although the game seemed much closer.

In the second match a quick try by Maldon was matched by Burnham after Harry Jarchow powered through. Maldon were on the back foot until their impressive rucking began to tell. Quick passing allowed Maldon through again as they took control just before half time. In the second half a driving run by Drew Kuta set up Harry Jarchow again. Maldon ran out 35-15 winners

In the final match both squads were utilised with rotating subs. Tough tackling by Harvey Barker and Charlie Sims gave Maldon something to think about before Maldon took the game by the scruff of the neck. The teams came in at half time with Maldon 25-10 up after try's by the impressive Sam Kelleher and another for Harry Jarchow after a lung busting run left Maldon in his shadow. The second half was very close, with Burnham forcing their game on to Maldon. Great support play from Will Braybrook allowed him to score a well worked try. The final try fell to Burnham after Shaun Salway seized a loose ball to allow the lightning Harry Jarchow through again. Final score 30-20 to Maldon
