INCREDIBLE SUPPORT PLAY BY DAWSON AND THE TEAM SECURES A WIN

A bright sunny day saw Burnham host Basildon and Ongar with Burnham and Basildon fielding two teams.

Burnham applied early pressure against Basildon with a driving run from Cerys Cook which then allowed Charlie Sims to collect the ball and power forward. A crunching tackle by Harvey Barker allowed Shaun Salway to receive the ball and sprint forward for Burnhams first try.

Burnham continued the first half with quick passing from Harry Jarchow and Cerys Cook before Try's from Harry Jarchow and Charlie Sims put Burnham in control.
Most of the second half was played out in Basildons half as Burnhams strong attacking play and pressure allowed them to dominate. A brilliant tackle by Arthur Diss sent Harvey Barker through for a try. Although the second half was a closer fought contest Charlie Sims scored another try for Burnham after a long surging run. The game finished with Burnham winning 25-0

In the next match Burnham quickly put Basildon under pressure after quick try's from Cerys Cook and Shaun Salway. Harvey Barker then scored a diving try to put Burnham firmly in control at half time. Basildon responded with a try before a brilliant tackle by Louis Roberts denied them a certain try.

In the second half basildon fought back before a Harvey Barker try and last minute try by Harry Jarchow clinched a 30-25 win for Burnham.

Burnham then played their hearts out against a big and well organised Ongar side. Burnham stopped Ongar imposing their game with impressive play from Hayden Churchill, Sam Kelleher and Thomas Dawson. Ongars continued pressure paid off with a 40-10 victory. Thomas Dawson scored Burnhams try's.

Burnham continued their fluent attacking played in their final match of the day against Basildon. Quick passing from Burnham allowed Sam Kelleher to level the scores before a further try from Harvey put Burnham in control. The increasing influence of Thomas Dawson saw Harry Jarchow score. A brilliant piece of play by the same two players had Thomas Dawson receive the ball on a fantastic over lap and adding a further try. Another crunching tackle by Harvey Barker sent Jo Bo through for a further try before Thomas added another after a great lay off from Harvey.

In the second half Burnhams quick passing resulted in an early try for Charlie Sims. More impressive passing down the line followed before Arthur Diss scored after fantastic attacking play by Burnham.
Further try's by Charlie Sims and Harry Jarchow were followed by another from Harvey Barker after an awesome pass by Cerys Cook. Burnhams impressive attacking play earned them a 55-25 victory.

Man of the Match went to Arthur Diss, Charlie Sims, Louis Roberts and Thomas Dawson.
