Passing, pressure and passion were taken in bundles as Burnham under 10's travelled Basildon. Yet again we field two teams.
A bursting run by Thomas Dawson had Burnham off to a flying start. Basildon pulled one back before awesome rucking by Robertsr and a brilliant off load by Josh Schembri sent Thomas through again. Burnham continued to apply amazing pressure with Harvey and Josh stopping Basildon in their tracks. Further try's by Thomas had Burnham edge out Badildon 20-15
The next two games were played out in similar fashion with Burnham always looking for a pass and committing to the tackle. In one passage of play Burnham had an amazing twelve consecutive passes resulting in a try for Arthur Diss.
Burnham ran out 35-5 and 20-15 winners in both matches with try's from Will Braybrook, Sam Keller, Louis Gillett and Cerys Cook.
The next match was a close contest. An amazing tackle by Josh which took out three players and the ref ! set the tone of the game. Shaun Salway was everywhere, Louis Roberts was powering in to every ruck and Thomas was nailing the try's. Louis Roberts was supporting and a brilliant pass sent Harvey through for a try. Burnham edging a 20-15 win
The final game had Burnhams hearts carrying their tired legs. Basildon raced into a 20-0 half time lead and but for a brilliant tackle by Arthur Diss it would have been worse.
Burnham fought back in the second half with a dazzling long run from Cerys. Brilliant passing by Hayden Churchill and Louis and great hands by Sam resulted in a try. Will Braybrook continued to drive Burnham forward with their heads never dropping. Basildon won 25-15
