ROCK AND ROLL TOUR AN ABSOLUTE HIT

The Burnham on Crouch Rugby Club Under 10s squad hit Great Yarmouth in spectacular fashion! The coaches were able to take the team on tour with support of their sponsors and the Hackblock Fund. The coaches left Friday with fourteen players all raring to go either on the field or off! The theme of tour was Rock and Roll, otherwise known as Ruck and Maul! The players did us proud during the 11 games of rugby they played. They were slow to start, but after that they were on fire, defending, attacking, rucking and mauling, and most of all playing as a team.

Awards were given to so many players during the tour for various reasons. The three final awards were for Most Valued person of the tour which went to Drew Kuta for providing the whole team with non stop entertainment and laughter, and especially for his dancing skills. Player of the tournament went to Lewis Gillett who gave everything to every match, even in the pouring rain he still ran out on that pitch and lifted the spirits of the team, helped by the Tour Captain Jobo Petherick (otherwise known as Elvis). Finally to the Non Rule Breaker, which went to a most delightful young man who never broke any of the rules of tour, well done Shaun Salway!
