We thought that Burnham U10's had let Halloween get to them that they had been taken over by Zombies. The first match did not go well. Colchester were faster to the breakdown, better tackling and moving the ball better in attack, which resulted in a well deserved win. Final score 10-25.
Colchester came over with two teams, so Burnham had to face a rested team. Thankfully the Zombies had left and we saw the old Burnham team that we know and love. Some great tackling in defence, great running with the ball in hand and great support play. With Burnham in full swing, Colchester could not keep up. Burnham winning 20-10
The third and fourth game saw much of the same play. Colchester showed some moments of great rugby, but Burnham's defence was too good. Results were 25-15 and 25-10.
Overall score: 80-60
Man of the match went to Angus Beale for his strong tackling, great support play and amazing tries. A special mention should again go to new player Charlie Watts, for his great enthusiasm and hard work which resulted in a well deserved try.
