Tremendous loss of two legends of the club

The club was notified of the loss of Warwick Bridge and Sam Goodbourn.

Warwick Bridge was one of the founding members of BRUFC. Many of us will remember Warwick and his tireless work, enthusiasm and passion for everything about the club. Whether it was as a player, referee, groundsman or committee member, there was nothing Warwick wouldn't have done in his time.
He was a wonderful person, enthralling with his stories when rugby was less regulated than now, and he will be sorely missed.

Sam Goodbourn played many of his formative years at Burnham. Whilst he had moved to Suffolk, Sam never forgot his roots, and we all know he held a special place in his heart for all that was Burnham.
Sam was a very decent player, and many of us who have played in the front row, will remember a man who had a great passion for the game, but was a man mountain in that scrum.

We honour, respect and pay tribute to Warwick and Sam.

Our thoughts are with all their family and friends at this time.

The club will pay tribute with a minute's silence at the 1st team game on Saturday, and with all the youth sides on Sunday.
