It was fantastic to see Amber, Jodie and Specks stepping out for Mistley Rugby Club this week. Also Coach Lizzie was representing her other club Maldon as loose head prop and got forward of the match, she did some great tackling.

Amber and Jodie got their first taste of contact rugby and enjoyed the experience. Mistley were incredibly welcoming and also on their team were Canvey and Witham players.

It was a close game with Mistley opening the scoring with a very early try. Then Maldon came back at us with tremendous attitude and sportmanship popping some excellent ran tries over the line with their super fast centre steaming down the pitch. Mistley fought back and tried to stop the sprinter. They were awarded a series of penalties which, which meant that a quick tap and go could release the captain of the day Zoe (Mistley) to go over the line.

It was such a fantastic atmosphere, Maldon were a great side to play and there was a lot of laughs on the pitch which is always good, ensuring the core values were in each of our hearts.
