The mighty U11 warriors continued their pre-season with the previous two sessions having a mixture of skills and physicality. Training numbers have been impressive which enabled the coaching staff to lay on a game based training session on Sunday to help the squad shake off any game rust, get used to some of the new laws introduced this season as well as help with game fitness conditioning.
What has been so pleading to see is how quickly everyone has embraced the different elements introduced during the summer and how the new recruits have embedded themselves into the squad. Sundays session was eye opening indeed, the tackling, rucking, support play was there for all to see, a great standard set already and the season hasn't even started yet!
As a coach there are always areas to work on and improve but what a great base we have with a squad of talented players that want to play an exciting brand of open rugby.
As with most things in sport attitude is key to being successful and both of this weeks Trainers of the week showed what having a great attitude can do - thank you to Hugo & Arthur for your fantastic attitude this week!
