Kinder Essex links local people in creative ways to help reduce loneliness and increase connections across the county.

When knitters and rugby players connect through kindness, it seems that good things happen! One of our Hug in a Shrug groups have been busy supporting Burnham Women’s rugby team who are encouraging more people to get involved in the sport to socialise and keep active. With the Women’s Rugby World Cup taking place, the ladies at the club wanted to put together a display to champion the sport and encourage the community to get involved and that is where our Kinder Essex coach stepped in to help. Jane has created this new connection between the groups, got volunteers involved and plans are now underway as to how the rugby club can support Kinder Essex in the coming months.
