We were a little slow at the beginning and weren't really listening to one another, getting frustrated and needed to up the support, gain some yards and protect the ball. This game cannot be played alone and OldMinster were coming at us with a strong defence, some great tackles and taking control of the ball. However, we were meeting them at the line and not allowing them to make too much ground.

Towards the end of the first half our first try was made and beautifully converted and headed in to half time at 7-0.

The half time talk spurred the team on and came back with a bit more fire in the belly. We started making some fabulous offloading and the team were listening more. Still could do with making sure that the player with the ball has support, but overall a stronger 2nd half leading to a further 3 tries with OldMinster scoring a try right before the final whistle. Final score - 22-5 to WoodBurn! A smashing game to watch, well done everyone.

MOTM this week is our Captain Jude. He was extremely respectful to the ref, asking questions and getting clarification on decisions. He also made some amazing tackles with one of them seeing him dragged up the pitch, but refused to let go! We wouldn't expect any different!
