Match Report 29th Sept @ Southminster Apple Funday

Last Sunday saw Bunrham on Crouch WRUFC play in their first Touch Rugby match (against another team) of the season against South Woodham Ferrers Ladies, with a couple of ringers from BoC Under 16's team, at the Southminster Apple Day.

Early in the first half Burnham managed to break through and made it onto the score sheet first with a great run to the try line by Ali Kirkham. Both teams defence was strong and it wasn't till just before half time that SWF really stepped up the pase with some very quick balls and good hands and managed to get on the score sheet.
In the second have with the legs tiring Burham Ladies fired themselves up and Burnham continued with some great defence work. South Woodham Ferrers Ladies were first on the score sheet and we quickly returned to score another, Callum (U16's). Burnham stayed strong but continued pressure from South Woodham managed to break through the defence and score the final try of the match. The final score was Burnham 2-3 South Woodham Ferrers.
