Epping & Upper Clapton v Burnham Colts 12th March 2017
Burnham Colts travelled to Epping & Upper Clapton for a league game, the home game had been a highly contested game leaving E&UC with a win, Burnham were fired up for the return match.
the game commenced with a hard fought battle between two very equally matched sides, BRUFC conceding a penalty giving away 3 points and then E&UC taking a converted try to lead 10/0. BRUFC returned to the game, fighting back to see Ben Barr scoring a try and Ben Belchambers putting the ball over the post for a conversion to bring half time score to 10-7 .
Again both teams came out from half time fighting hard for every ball, E&UC gave away a penalty which Ben Belchambers scored to even the score at 10-10
Game play continued at a fast pace, Fullback Rhys Newton catching well and kicking hard to clear many attacks, the teams battled with many hard tackles and rucks but E&UC scored a succession of tries and one conversion to leave a score line of 27-10 which was unfortunately not a true reflection of the game play, Burnham player fought hard to the end whistle, they struggled with injuries on the day and unfortunately lost the game
man of the match went to Ben Belchambers richly deserved for his converted tries and many tackles

The boys performed well but it was unfortunate with the way that it ended. We got very fired up and ready for the game after luke cowell put in a huge hit that got us all pumped
