Burnham U8's hosted a large Maldon contingent this Sunday and a smaller team from Old Brentwoods.
All teams got to play each other with shorter length games. Burnham's players started of well in attack, but struggled to prevent Maldon from scoring straight back. This made the game very close and ended in a draw.
In the second of Burnham's games, some basic handling errors gave Maldon the opportunity to turn the ball over and therefore win the game.
Burnham's last game against Maldon was much the same as the second. Basic handling errors and poor tagging gave Maldon the narrow victory.
However in the final game against Old Brentwoods, Burnham started playing the rugby that we have come to expect of them. Great passing, support play and tagging. They gelled together and played for each other which resulted in a comfortable win.
Man of the match was Harvey Brooks for his great runs and support throughout the day.
