Romford Festival - THE WINNERS - BRING IT ON

Burnham travelled to Romford for their annual Festival with Jon and Dan setting the foundation from the start Burnham got to watch the first game before they took to the field against Old Brentwood. Burnham were on fire from the start with Owen offloading and Harry running great lines which was fantastic and then their was two amazing 7 tag turnovers so the final score was Burnham 7 Old Brentwood 3. try scorers Owen 3, Harry 2, Angus 1, Aiden 1.

After a 1 match break Burnham were back in action against Witham and hyped from their start. It was Witham that started getting 3 well worked tries before Ryeka pulled one back for Burnham with Keeaun showing his pace on the outside to score, the final score Burnham 7 - 6 Witham. Try scorers Owen 2, Harry 2, Ryeka 1, Keeaun 1, Henry 1.

Burnhams final group game was against the only other undefeated team Romford from the start it was two great teams putting their all into the game with try given and try scored and neither team standing down it was a spectacle of rugby with passes being made out of the tackle and finger tip catches being made just before scores with the crowds ooohs and ahhhhs showing their enjoyment. Final score Burnham 5 - 5 Romford. try scorers Harry 4 Owen 1. Tthis put both Burnham and Romford on 7 points and Burnham having the better tries scored with 14 against Romford 10 saw them go through to the Cup Final.

The Final was to be contested against Upminster with Harry gathering a loose ball to run the full length of the pitch for the first try and second with an almost identical dash down the side line the Burnham defence was awesome securing another 7 tag turnover and Owen running through the middle of the players then checking his belt for tags before scoring, great support work saw Henry score. Final score Burnham 8 - 2 Upminster. Try scorers Harry 4, Henry 2, Owen 1, Ryeka 1.After cheers the team was called together when Coach Jon welled up with emotion, which was truly deserved and it was Dan that took the final team talk and praise of their efforts. Burnham team was Abbirose, Aiden, Angus, Cameron, Harry, Harvey, Henry, Keeaun, Owen, Ryeka.
