This weekend Burnham went to the Braintree festival as I was referring for most of the day i did not get to see the team play until the final game. Which was the final of the plate trophy.
We all had high hopes as the team we where due to play we had already beaten in our first game of the day, in the group stage. We lost the toss and Harlow started after we had taken a number tags the managed to score. We then restarted the game and imediately levied the cote. Due to the tiredness of our players this was the pattern of the game, while we managed to get tag after tag we unfortunately did not get enough tags in one phase to turn the ball over. So the game went on time after time until it was seven all and the final whistle was blown and the refer wanted to play one final deciding phase and it was Harlow turn to have the ball. after four tags they scored and the game ended.
All of our players land out on the pitch exhausted they had given everything in the last game. Our player of the day was Patrick Smyth for fantastic tagging and taking four tags in one phase.
Well done to all our players for putting everything they had into every game.
