Sth Woodham v U 8’s 03/12/17

We arrived with seven players raring to go. They played three match’s against Sth Woodham.

1st Match 7-7
Two teams which were very evenly matched. Burnham showed great passing down the line & support to all players. Matthew Corrigan & Sienna Hadrell showed off there speed to get the ball close to the try line. Unfortunately they were tagged so unable to score the try themselves, however George Corrigan was there in a great position to take the ball over the line to score all 7 try’s!

2nd Match 9-7
Unfortunately this game we lost. It definitely wasn’t for a lack of determination. Charlie Hill & Elliott Cottman worked very hard at tagging & proved to be difficult to get through. However Sth Woodham showed good passing skills to get the ball to the try line.
We had four try scorers in this game George, Matthew, Charlie Hill & Stefan Webb 4,1,1,1 respectedly.

3rd Match 6-8
This match we won. All players were focused & wanted to end on a positive. All players showed their great tagging skills & stopped Sth Woodham getting to the try line.
George & Matthew supported each other down the pitch enabling George to add another 5 try’s to his tally!!
Stefan scored two impressive try’s & Charlie Kober did an impressive run down the wing in the last few seconds of play to score the last but vital try! This brought the overall scores even to 22-22!!

Well done to all the players who showed great determination on the pitch. All had great fun & sat together after to eat there pasta discussing the matches.
