U8’s at Braintree festival 25/03/18

A brilliant day was enjoyed by the whole team & parents at the Braintree Festival.
We had to play 5 matches throughout the day:

Thurrock 6-6 Burnham
Burnham 5-5 Woodford Red
Burnham 6-6 Harlow Blue
Burnham 7-5 Woodford Blue
Harlow Red 6-4 Burnham

Every player gave their full commitment today. We scored an amazing 28 try’s over all 5 matches, however our defensive line definitely requires improvement as we also had 28 try’s against us! We are still tending to bunch and after the hard work of getting the first tag we struggle to get the second tag as other teams pass the ball down the line.
Burnham U8’s ball handling skills had improved as did running straight. The new drills introduced recently are paying off!
The birthday boy Stefan Webb played consistently well throughout all 5 matches & was awarded Player of the Week.
We have a few things to work on before our next festival in 3 weeks time at the Essex Festival Upminster .
