Burnham U8's win in tight game with local rivals

With Burnham having their first homematch in a while and the addition of some new players we fielded the most amount of players we have this season with 17.
With Woodham bringing 6 players we split Burnham into 3 teams and agreed with Woodham to play 3 matches. Whilst one team played Woodham the other 2 Burnham teams were playing each other.
The first game was a tight affair with both teams running in some good trys and the game finishing at 7-7.
The second game Burnham started to find their feet a bit more and started to pull away and won 8-6.
The third game the Woodham team started to get a bit tired as were playing every match with no subs. So Burnham played with 5 players who hadnt played yet and won 9-7.
This weeks player of the week went to Zac Kennedy on his first match back in a year. He showed good determination in tagging and even scored a lovely try with a beautiful dive over the line.
Skill of the week went to Bobby Ballard for some really good running and tagging.
TREDS went to Samuel Shelley for showing some really good team ethics and enthusiasm for the game.
