Burnham outplayed by an Awesome Braintree side

Burnham U8 welcomed Braintree for this weeks home fixture.

Both teams split into two sides but with Burnham down on payers this week we played a 5 a side and a 6 a side in the two games.

Braintree made the brighter starts in the first two games with the rush defence and fast running and passing on the move which prevented Burnham from tagging or getting to the 6 tag turnover rule. During the games the Braintree teams showed some great running lines and easily slipped through the defence lines of Burnham. Sometimes the focus was not there for Burnham and they seemingly had an 'off week' compared to some of their previous performances. At times all that Burnham players and supporters (and referee) could do was applaud the performance of Braintree. They had a great week and played some outstanding rugby.

However in the second games Burnham's 5 a-side team ran out victoious with a much improved performance and well organised by this weeks player of the week Finian.
