Magnificent Day

An ever increasing U7's squad hosted there first home match of the season. They were visited by a very large Maldon contingent. Burnham had just enough players for 3 teams, so three seperate pitches were marked out.
Pitch one saw Burnham win one game, lose one and draw one. There was some great running by Harry Courts and Harry Maclaren (player of the week) and some great tagging by Cameron Bowyer and good support play by Angus Beale.
Pitch Two saw Burnham win there first game and lose the next two with the tightest of margins. With some great tries from Henry Miller Wood, Oscar Burton, Ryker and Joe Banks and some great support play from Evan Felice in his first match for Burnham.
Pitch 3 saw Burnham lose the first two games, but managing to win the final game because of a real improvement with tagging and passing and even though Ciara didn't score any tries her passing and tagging did help set up tries for the others. Try scorers included Ruark Hornett, Aiden Hull, Harvey Brooks and Abbierose
A truly magnificent effort for an ever growing and developing squad. It is getting very hard to chose Player of the week!!
