Burnham U7's travelled to our closest away match of the season on a wet and windy day to arrive at quite a muddy pitch. Burnham started with 7 players and split into two teams of three and four players.
Burnhams team of three played very well and all supported each other really well in attack and worked hard to defend against four players. They became a team of four near the end of the second half of their first game and eventually ran out 13-10 winners.
Burnhams second team had four players all worked well together with some great tagging and again supporting each other in attack. They comfortably won their first game with a 14-6 scoreline.
The second games were a much closer affair with one team losing 8-10 and the other team drawing 11-11. This week's player of the week went to Casey who tagged well and scored lots of tries but more importantly he kept his cool during the game even if things were not going his way.
Both of Burnham's teams and South Woodham Ferrers' teams showed big improvements in the quality of their play when compared to the early game of the season. Both teams played well on a tough pitch and showed some great running lines and evading the defenders.
At the end of the game we had one big game of Bulldog in which Finian was the last player to be tagged.
