Burnham take on Westcliff

Burnham under 9s took a 15 strong team to Westcliff and played their hearts out. They were fired up from the start and the first game was incredible with Cerys Cook producing the most immense tackles, followed closely by Josh Schiembri and George Yeoman. There was the most amazing passing phases from Harry Jarchow, Ratty Diss and Thomas Dawson, to continually put the pressure on. The team were amazing. First game 25 - 5 to Westcliff (Harry Jarchow 1)

The next games were equally as brilliant, we had three more against Westcliff where the pressure got better and better, Westcliff were not going to be defeated though and kept their heads up and carried on with more and more pressure. The games were 20 - 15 to Westcliff, 15 - 40 to Burnham and finally 15 - 15.

Both coaches are incredibly proud of the WHOLE team, as always it was a massive team effort. Special mention to Player of the Week Cerys Cook who played her heart out and never stopped, also to tackler of the week George Yeoman and passer of the week Ratty Diss. Well Done everyone.
