Burnham U9's in triangle with Rochford and Canvey

Our u9's travelled to Rochford to play in a triangle match with Rochford and Canvey for their first ever tackling match! The children had trained really hard over the last five weeks in preparation and were really looking forward to it albeit with some trepidation! Burnham were evenly matched with Rochford having two teams each. With Canvey having just four players, a decision was made that Burnham and Rochford, two teams would play the first matches. Rochford and Canvey combined teams to play against the Burnham team with the other Burnham and Rochford team playing each other. Finally, a combined Burnham and Canvey team played against Rochford.

To say that it was a successful day of rugby is an understatement! All the coaches and parents on the three teams expressed, how wonderful all the children had played, with it being their first ever tackling match! A big Thank You to Rochford for their hospitality.
