Burnham vs Romford @ Basildon

after a short break Burnham were back in action with an unchanged team. playing uphill Burnham allowed Romford to rumble a early try. from the restart Romford once again pressured Burnham in their half of the field playing the short ball well and scoring a second try. with a great run up the middle Jack Hawkins scored a try for Burnham. with their spirits now up Burnham played their way up the field and Mitch Sims finishing off some great play to end the half. the start of the second half Burnham had the slope advantage with everyone getting involved Burnham kept picking and going ruck after ruck until finally Oscar Cowell was awarded the try taking Burnham ahead. Romford once again attacked well with only determined tackling on the wings stopping their players from getting through. a penalty awarded to Burnham 5 metres away from the Romford try line was tapped and passed to Jack Hawkins who powered over managing to ground the ball and scoring his second try of the game.
