Early try from a cross field kick, picked up by Keheller got the boys fired up!

Team led by Rashbrook Roared and the Big Guns Fired from the Kick off!
Burnham U12s at Home to SWF

The rain soon cleared ready for kick off against Burnham’s local rivals SWF and Burnham came out of the blocks roaring.
The defence were soon up quick on SWF giving them no time to play, harassed and made a nuisance of themselves at the breakdown.
Winning some fine rucks and excellent driving mauls from the Burnham’s powerful forwards who kept pushing back SWF in their own half.
After winning ruck ball, scrumhalf kicked the ball up the field, for the ball to kindly bounce into the hands of Burnham’s winger to go over and score the first try.
SWF at this stage knew they were in for a tough game with Burnham having an impressive display of fine rugby, moving the ball through the hands though out the game.
Burnham’s next score came from another fine driving maul for the ball to be passed from the scrumhalf to the fly half who drove on and found space to pass out to the wing who stormed past two defenders to go over to score.
At this stage Burnham on top of the game, but SWF hit back with two ties , first from a huge kick and Burnham’s Full back attempted clearance charged down and the ball fell nicely to SWF player to go over and score.
The next try a burst though by pacey centre and quick ball allowed SWF to equal the score.
Burnham continued to rally and play as a Team and fought hard they did not give up. The big guns up front drove the mauls, stealing ball and moving forward and clearing rucks to the backs who continued to move the ball and tackle. All played their part today.
Final score 10-10 in first game.
Second game did not have the same result with Woodham bringing on almost a fresh squad of players, Burnham had no subs and were tired and although they never let their heads drop they could not quite get on the score sheet. With Woodham running in some amazing tries.
