Burnham Hit the ground running again!
Sunday and the rain stayed away with Burnham taking on Rochford at home.
This first match saw Burnham out and up ready quicker than their opponents and in this intense first match saw some great rugby played from both sides.
Burnham opened the score with a another fine maul with the scrum half releasing the flyhalf with three players outside in overlap the flyhalf dummied and sent the Rochford defence out and burst through to open the first try.
Burnham were soon up another try with a ruck set and the ball passing down the line for the winger to score in the corner. Rochford rallied and started to play and push Burnham back in their own half only for Burnham to win a ball and the scrum half to kick a diagonal ball for the speedy winger to race onto, the ball bounced kindly into his arms to run for the try line to score.
Rochford hit back with a powerful drive in Burnham's half and rucking for a centre to score a try. Last play of the game and Rochford again stormed into Burnham's half with a last grasp tackle from Burnham's winger allowing more into defence saw Rochford go for the try line only to be held up by some brilliant defending. Scrum awarded to Burnham who managed to clear ball into Touch and the final whistle to blow.

2nd match
This time with Rochford changing around and fresh legs and Burnham unable to send new players on fought hard , Rochford started to find holes in defence and with straight running managed to break the game line a few occasion resulting in three quick try's.
Burnham rallied and battled but could not deal with some fast runners and Rochford scored again. Some big rucks and mauls with Rochford stealing ball near the try line managed to score again.
