Burnham vs Basildon friendly

The under 13's team started their first game of the season with a 2 minute silence to show their respects to the soldiers that have given their lives for us.

Sid Jarchow captained the team in their first match in 7 months, wearing their new kit. The boys did the club proud playing some awesome rugby. Although the boys play at their individual schools on a full pitch, today was the first time for the boys playing as a club team.
The game was divided into three with twenty minutes each way. Basildon opened the scoring and dominated the first third of the game. However, Burnham fought back with some fantastic tackles, there were some suburb runs from both teams.
Both teams showed good rucks and mauls. There were some excellent tries from both Basildon and Burnham with fantastic conversions to follow. The last play of the game was an excellent conversion from the 22 sideline from Sid. Man of the match was not done individually because each and every player today deserved to be man of the match.
