BURNHAM UNDER 13S WIN THEIR LEAGUE GAME ...

> Campion v Burnham on Crouch U13s
> Players played for their Shirts today and all respectfully did a minutes silence to mark Remembrance Sunday.

> A chilly wind this morning saw Burnham on Crouch U13s visit Campion for the first time.
> Burnham kicked off the first half and pounced keeping Campion in their half with Campion trying to push back Burnham in the middle. Burnham forwards held their own fort in the rucks with Campion under pressure causing them to make some errors and knock on for Burnham scrum. Burnham again superior in the scrum and with scrum ball and quick passing for the centre to pounce over the try line. Burnham moved the ball a few more times and punched holes into Campion for another fine try with another soon after with some passing and run by the scrum half. Campion did get a try of their own by splitting Burnhams defence to run half the pitch to score with Burnham missing some tackles. Half time 5-15
> Second half Campion kicked off with Burnham playing into the wind and pretty much the same plays with holes being punched into Campions defence allowing the full back to receive the ball and go over for a try. Burnham remained on top In the scrums giving Campion no time to play and moved forward at each opportunity.Campion made some changes and had a harassing winger who broke away on the counter attack to run nearly the length of the pitch to go over for a individual try.Burnham did not allow this to effect their game and kept pressure on Campion to run in a couple more try's, one from the big second row from 4 metres who didn't give up to the try line . Campion scored a consolation try near the end.
> Final score 15-30
> Boys played like a Team today Coaches pleased with the efforts on this cold windy day and they deserved to have the playing shirts back on for the next game!
