Sunday morning on frosty Sunny Day Burnham entertained the Benfleet Vikings . Due to injuries Burnham lent The Vikings four players to make a game today.
Burnham kicked if the first half and pounced straight from kick off winning Ruck ball with great counter rucking . The scrum half mispassed and the winger cut in to lay the ball off and for another ruck Burnham’s hooker went over to score the first try. Vikings received the kick off and tried to gain territory only for a great tackle by Burnham and quick to the ball for the winger to run 20 meters for a try. The Vikings looked dazed from Burnham’s two quick tries and tried to rally but Burnham where sizzling this half and quicker to the ball with a quick penalty taken by the scrum half to go over to score the third try.Burnham on top this half and further two tries this half were scored. Vikings managed to switch on and started to move the ball and punched the middle with the ball ending into the hands of their winger to score in the corner .
Half time 25-5
Second half Burnham swapped over some players and changed some positions. The Vikings giant forward started to play and stormed through to score between the posts.
Burnham switched back on and pressured the Viking defence and wining ball only for a counter ruck by the Vikings winning the ball for the giant second row to punch up the field, Burnham’s winger made a last ditch tackle to bring him down and the retreating defence managed to gain the ball moving the ball to Burnham’s second row who managed to run 40 meters up field only to be tackled, but Burnham won the ball and eventually went over to score.
Vikings hit back with another breakaway try. This second half tightly fought between bothsides
But Burnham had the edge and managed to score another two try’s.
Final score 40-15
