Burnham came out hard and fast from the whistle putting two scores over very quickly, one by George Rashbrook and one by Lewis Gillett. Clacton were not be beaten and came back with two of their own. Burnham found the try line three more times but unfortunately all three tries fairly disallowed, the two boys who had the decision made against them were incredibly mature and kept their heads up and kept fighting for more. Clacton then whipped another try over from an excellent run. Burnham were playing superbly with some monstrous tackles. Half time score was 10 - 15.

Second half Burnham came out fighting but unfortunately heads started to drop as Clacton's one runner kept going through! Quick team chat and they were fired again keeping play going forwards and keeping the pressure on. Clacton were taken by surprise on several occasions but managed to close us down with their very good defence. Burnham kept fighting and a smashing cross field kick then chased by their team mates, with two players supporting each other excellently and reeling out of a fast moving maul to go over for the final try of the day. Well done Burnham you picked yourselves back up and had self respect.

Try Scorers: George Rashbrook, Lewis Gillett, Charlie Delivett.
