> Clacton kicked off the first half and pressured Burnham in defence, with the Burnham Captain making a monstrous tackle at the start of the match, not to mention others as well! Burnham had to dig deep to keep Clacton at Bay for part of the game with some strong runs and kicking Burnham tried to escape from their half only to be continuously be put on the back foot which resulted in two quick tries from kick and chase from Clacton. Burnham fought hard and managed to penetrate into Clacton half and forcing Clacton to make a few handling errors resulting in Burnham wining numerous scrums . Clacton’s defence were on top form and continued to hold Burnham at Bay until the outside centre managed to break the line and attacked hard and fast to score. First half was a battle and each team fighting for the breakthrough resulting in Clacton to score their third try.
> Half time 15-5

> Second half Burnham kicked off and Clacton scored from a solo run from their fast centre who cut across their own back line to score.
> Burnham found it difficult to deal with when the same player ran through another two quick tries.
> After some changes in the back later due to injury Burnham continued to make a game of it. The scrum were on top form throughout the game but just wasn’t enough to keep Clacton at Bay with their speedy wingers who ran through some more tries.
> Burnham didn’t manage to camp on Clacton 5 metre line with a number of penalty’s and where they kept trying to go over only to be held up or given another penalty, credits due to the strong Clacton Defence who put everything in to keep Burnham at bay.
