Burnham at home against Campion

Burnham hosted their last league opponents Campion at Home in this improving mild weather.
Burnham kicked off the first half and pressured the Campion defence pushing them back and earning an early scrum from a knock on.
From the resulting wining scrum Burnham continued to puncture the defence who made some fine tackles, but moving forward and scrum half off loading to Fluhalf who’s pass reached the outside centre raced through the gap to score the first try for Burnham.
Burnham continued to pressure Campion and some mistakes and knock ons Burnham continued to move on to the 5 mtre line wining ruck and quick ball both the second rows supporting each crashed over to score despite last grasp effort by Campion to hold them up.
Campion held they own and from the middle of the pitch they centre loaned from Burnham passed two missed tackles to storm over middle of the posts.
Both sides great effort but campion last 5 minutes of the half on top , Burnham bravely tackled and with off side at the Rick gave away a penalty. Campion then passed and there prop run beyond the 5 metre line to be tackled resulting in lost ruck with the ball being moved to their No 10 beating two defenders to go over and score. Half Time 10-10.
2nd Half Burnham received the kick off to race up the field only to loose the ball in a ruck for a counter attack that Campion scored another try to take the lead in this tight game.
Burnham rallied and Game on with some neat ball passing exchange for far side with ball into ruck and scrum half passing out the ball travelled they the hands of most players backs and forwards with looping and switch resulting with No 10 to score in the corner.
Burnham now on fire after equally the score and hunger for the ball with another try from the outside centre busting through the gap to go over.
Still tightly fought game from both sides but Burnham onto to score another try from the outside centre busting through from the wing position. Campion managed to score a last play try despite a valiant effort to hold the player up.
